IRA hopes never to withdraw services from anyone. However these are the circumstances in which we would consider the withdrawal of service:
* When fees are not paid for the services provided.
* When staff members are abused.
NOTE: ABUSE IS MISTREATMENT BY ANY OTHER PERSON OR PERSONS THAT VIOLATES A PERSON'S HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHTS.
ABUSE CAN BE IN DIFFERENT FORMS:
* Physical: the infliction of physical pain or injury, or physical coerion.
example includes: HITTING, SLAPPING, PUSHING, BURNING, AND
PHYSICAL RESTRAINT.
* Emotional: the infliction of mental anguish, involving actions that cause
fear of violence, isolation or deprivation, and/or feelings
of shame, indignity and powerlessness.
example: HUMILIATION, EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL, BLAMING,
INTIMIDATION, ENFORCED SOCIAL ISOLATION AND SO ON.
* Sexual: abuse or exploitative behaviour, ranging from sexual harassment,
indecent assult to rape.
* Tribal or sexual harassment of our staff.
* Persistent unfounded allegations against staff members.
